MMDR Rules

This Comm is IC
This one kind of goes without saying, but this DR is strictly IC. Crack and shenanigans are fun, but please don't make completely OOC posts, personal introductions, or memes here. That's what the OOC Comm,
mmdrooc is for! Feel free to post pretty much whatever you want there and post to the Player Directory!
All posts are action posts
Check the setting for more details, but just as it says. The city has a functioning network that you can factor into plots and take into consideration, but for ease of use and understanding, all posts made to the Comm should be "action" logs actually taking place within the physical boundaries of the city. Feel free to write your posts with action tags or prose, but please no "network" style posts!
Note that for NetNavis and other "virtual" characters from any continuity, this means that the character is manifested in a physical form on arrival.
This Comm is PG-13/R-ish at most
Fighting, foul language, and shipping all have their place. To some extent, that place can be here! Generally, though, we'd like to keep this comm PG-13, and R at most. If you're posting anything you'd consider to be rated R (extreme violence, gore, excessive language, heavy petting), please put it beneath a cut and indicate why you felt the need to.
For anything more than that (crazy torture stuff, explicit smut, etc.), we would please ask that you do not post it in this DR. If you need to interrupt a thread to move it elsewhere, feel free to reply to your thread with a link to where you moved it, but again please warn for why exactly it was moved. If you have any questions or if you aren't sure if something would be suitable or not, please contact the mods!
This is a wank-free zone
Seriously. We will find you.
All Mega Man-related canons are welcome
Just like it says! Feel free to play from any MM-related product! Any of the game series, the manga, the crappy PC games, the Ruby Spears cartoon, Captain N, that weird educational anime one, Mega Man Soccer, Protomen-verse, whatever! Have a blast! As usual, if you aren't sure if something counts, please contact the mods!
OCs and AUs are welcome
Same thing as above. Fandom OCs are welcome as long as they are based in some Mega Man-related canon, and any AUs (genderswaps, humanized, alignment swap, etc.) are also all welcome! Doujin and fangame characters are allowed as well and will be considered AUs. If you aren't entirely sure if an OC or AU will "work", please contact the mods!
Duplicates are allowed
Like most DRs, since you cannot "claim" a character, duplicates of characters (even if they are OU and from the same canon source) are allowed! Heck, have fun making them mutually flip out over it.
Please tag your posts
This one is iffy because obviously we're not going to be too strict in enforcing it, but it makes for a much more convenient and fun DR experience for everyone involved if you tag your posts! For convenience sake, any "general" (as in taking information from multiple sources) or strictly game-canon characters do not need to specify canon, and we will use American naming conventions. By all means, use whichever names you prefer in your posts/etc., but for cleanliness sake let's please all stick to localization names for tags so that we don't potentially end up with a half-dozen characters with two tags!
So for example, a Bass playing purely from game canon would just use the tag "Bass" (and not Forte, please. It's simpler if we all go with the same names, and localized names make sense since this is a primarily English-speaking DR). For characters specifically from other canons, please specify the source. So a Roll based purely on the mangas would tag "Roll (Manga)". AUs and OCs would do the similarly; a humanized Rush would tag as "Rush (AU)" and an OC would be "[OC's name here] (OC)". Please tag yourself both when you make a new post and when you tag into someone else's post!
Tags beginning with an asterisk (*) are Mod tags, please do not use them! The !intro tag is for the first time you ICly post with a specific journal, and the !event tag is for posts that are involving the latest event. If you have any questions on how you should tag a particular character, please contact the mods!
Events are optional
Any time the mods post an event, it's purely up to you if you want to play along with it or not! They're mostly just fun little prompts to help give the players some direction and spice things up, but feel free to ignore them entirely!
