Welcome to the city. It doesn't have a name - no one ever really bothered to give it one - and it was built ever so conveniently on top of a rather unstable dimensional rift. That would be the reason you're here now, you see, as well as why enough people to build and inhabit a good-sized city happen to be stuck in this strange little pocket dimension.
As far as cities go, the place is pretty generic and surprisingly convenient. Anything you might conceivably find in a city big enough and technologically advanced enough to support it is here - from junkyards to movie theaters to labs and a thriving citywide network. Given that the rift pulls in people from all timelines, it's got the best of all technologies to offer and can easily provide for anyone who arrives, be they human, robot, netnavi, alien, or anything else beyond or in-between.
Really, the only problem is that you're kind of stuck here. No one's figured out how to get back home quite yet. Not to mention that sometimes the rift acts up, causing bizarre phenomena to sweep the city...
Players, feel free to invent places in the city at your whims! Your characters can appear here anywhere at any time, and you are also more than welcome to make use of random citizen NPCs. Most citizens are used to newcomers and can explain the dimensional rift thing. In short, the setting is ultimately here for you to HAVE FUN WITH! Please do! :D
